Forum User Guide
Overview:
The user forum allows registered users to post messages to the forum conferences.
Users can set or unset the option to watch a thread or conference, if set users will be notified by email each time a new message is posted.
Please note that this facility is only for registered users.
Below is a step by step guide to posting a message.
Selecting a conference
First click the conference, in this example I am posting a message to Forum in support about this page, the User Guide.
Start a new thread
In this example, this is a new thread so the following appears at the top, type the subject of your message here. Don't worry about your email address being displayed, you are the only person who can see this, all that is public is your user name.
Type the message subject
Type your message
Preview your message by clicking preview message, when you are happy with it click post message.
Replying to a post
Select the forum
Select the thread
Click on reply, the method is the same as above in the new thread example.
Watch a Thread or Conference
To receive an email to your registered email address when a reply to a thread is received simply click on watch thread. The same applies to the entire conference by clicking on watch conference.
To disable the watching feature click on the following.
Search
The forum has its own search facility seperate from the site search, to search simply click on search, from then on it is self expanitory.
